Consumer Health Data Notice

This notice gives extra detail about how CounterHype handles health, fitness, nutrition, body, and connected health data. It supplements the Privacy Policy.
1. What counts as health data in CounterHype
Depending on what you choose to use, CounterHype may process information that can reveal or relate to your health, fitness, nutrition, body, or activity. This may include:
- Training goals, exercise preferences, experience level, limitations, and recovery context.
- Workout plans, exercise performance, effort, completion history, and strength milestones.
- Food logs, nutrition targets, calories, macros, label scans, meal descriptions, and custom foods.
- Body metrics such as weight, body composition estimates, measurements, progress notes, and check-ins.
- Steps or similar activity data imported from connected health services after you grant permission.
- Daily signals you enter, such as hunger, energy, recovery, sleep quality, or pain notes.
2. Sources of health data
- Data you enter directly in the app.
- Data generated by the app from your plan, logs, and settings.
- Data imported from device health services only after you grant permission.
- Data inferred from your use of app features, such as completed sessions or consistency trends.
3. Why CounterHype uses health data
- To build and update home strength plans around your setup, goals, and schedule.
- To calculate nutrition targets and show daily food progress.
- To help you log workouts, meals, body metrics, and check-ins.
- To show progress, trends, adherence, and recovery context.
- To sync, back up, restore, and export your data when those features are enabled.
- To improve safety, reliability, support, moderation, and product quality.
4. Connected health permissions
CounterHype only accesses connected health data, such as Health Connect data, after your device asks for permission and you approve. You can revoke access through your device settings or health-permission controls. If access is revoked, CounterHype will stop importing new connected health data, though previously saved app data may remain until deleted.
5. Sharing health data
CounterHype may share health data with service providers only as needed to run user-facing features, such as cloud hosting, authentication, storage, sync, crash reporting, analytics, subscription access, support, and AI-assisted food features you choose to use.
We do not sell health data, share it with data brokers, or use it for third-party advertising. We may disclose information if required by law or needed to protect users, the public, or the service.
6. Your controls
- You can edit or remove many logs and settings in the app.
- You can export JSON data where export is available.
- You can revoke health permissions through your device settings.
- You can request access, correction, deletion, or a copy of data by contacting support.
- You can request account deletion through Delete Account.
7. Retention
CounterHype keeps health data for as long as needed to provide the app, sync and restore your account, support you, maintain security, and meet legal obligations. Local data may remain on your device until removed, reset, or uninstalled.
