Privacy Policy

CounterHype uses personal and health-related information to provide training, food, progress, account, subscription and backup features. We do not sell user health data.

Information we collect

Depending on the features you use, information can include account details, onboarding and preview answers, training preferences, equipment, schedule, protected body areas, food and hydration logs, workout history, weight, measurements, progress photos, reminders, device and app diagnostics, purchase status, cloud-backup records, optional Health Connect data, analytics events, and support messages.

How we use it

We use this information to create plan previews and training blocks, operate food and progress tools, provide Adaptive Coach Reviews, securely transfer a signed-in preview, maintain Pro access, synchronize or restore data, send reminders you enable, provide support, improve reliability, and keep the service secure.

AI-assisted nutrition

When you choose nutrition-label scanning, meal-photo analysis, or meal-description estimation, the selected image or text and necessary context may be sent to an AI service provider to draft an editable estimate. Do not include unrelated people, documents, account details, or other unnecessary sensitive information in a scan.

Website previews

Health, body, food, and training answers are treated as sensitive. During the website preview they are kept in this browser tab's session storage, not in page URLs. A signed-in handoff draft may be stored server-side for up to seven days and is protected by account verification.

Service providers

CounterHype may use Firebase services for authentication, app data, storage, messaging, diagnostics and security; OpenAI for user-requested nutrition image or text processing; RevenueCat and Google Play for subscription status and billing; Cloudflare for website hosting and secure preview transfer; and limited analytics tools for product reliability and aggregate funnel measurement.

Health Connect

Health Connect access is optional. CounterHype requests supported read permissions only after you approve them. Available categories and source accuracy depend on the Android device and connected apps.

Storage and retention

Core app data is designed to work locally. Signed-in Pro features can create cloud snapshots and related synchronization records. Retention depends on the record type, account status, security needs, legal obligations, and deletion requests.

Your choices

The app provides account, export, import, permission, reminder, purchase-restore and deletion controls where available. You can also contact support for access, correction, export or deletion help. Some subscription and security records may need to be retained for billing, fraud prevention, tax, disputes, or legal compliance.
